However, that being said there are many plans that I'd have over AARP. Most people are better off with the Medicare Advantage plans instead of a Med Sup. Many of those plans also include the Part D coverage so you don't need a stand alone prescription plan. Also the premium for those plans average around $27 per month in my area, and many have a $0 premium. It can get very confusing. You'd do yourself a favor visiting an independent agent that works with most if not all plans to find the best one for you. The plans and premiums are the same whether you use the agent or buy directly from an insurance company.
